Rosie has served in the Miami-Dade Police Department (MDPD) for over 28 years, rising in rank numerous times, and currently serves in one of the highest positions as Assistant Director of Investigative Services for the MDPD.
Family
In addition to being a seasoned law enforcement professional, Rosie is also a dedicated wife and mother. She understands the importance of family and relates with the safety needs of Miami-Dade’s residents. Her well-rounded life experience contributes to her genuine passion for public safety.
Community
Rosie is an advocate for every community in Miami-Dade County, and over the course of her career she has developed thorough knowledge of the law enforcement needs of the many cities and neighborhoods within Miami-Dade County. She is well equipped to be an effective and trusted sheriff.
Career
Rosie currently serves as Assistant Director of Investigative Services and has taken on significant responsibilities within the Miami-Dade Police Department, including leading the internal transition team to the Sheriff’s Office. Her tireless work keeps Miami-Dade County residents in good hands.
